On January 10th, 2.5 Dimension TV’s (2.5次元てれび) Gotouchi Taisen「ご当地大戦」 Illustration Contest begins!
2.5 Dimension TV is 2.5 Dimension TV Co, Ltd’s free informational variety show program about 2.5 dimensional related content. The show was first broadcasted on July 12th 2012 and is broadcasted live every second and fourth Thursday of each month at 9pm.
As pixiv and 2.5 Dimension TV’s 4th collaboration, we’re holding a contest about the following topics: special edition products, sightseeing landmarks, festivals, natural monuments, B-rated gourmet, national treasures, local specialties, cultural, customs, local cuisine, etc. Illustrations will need to feature famous and/or well-known local products from all parts the world.

■ What is 2.5 Dimension TV?

To inspire more derivative work and have everyone enjoy Otaku Culture, 2.5 Dimension focuses on “2.5 Dimensional Content” such as games, anime, moe personification, voice actors, VOCALOID, cosplay, and the like. On every second and fourth Thursday at 9pm to 10pm JST, 2.5 Dimension TV Otaku Culture variety show program is studio broadcasted live for free to viewers. The show can be commented on immediately by viewers, allowing for spontaneous live interaction with staff. 2.5 Dimension TV and pixiv will be working together more to bring you more countless original projects!

【How to Enter】
We’re looking for illustrations of: special edition products, sightseeing landmarks, festivals, natural monuments, B-rated gourmet, national treasures, local specialties, cultural, customs, local cuisine, etc. It must be of a product or idea representing an area around the world.
※We will be screening all illustrations to match the topic and may use some as examples for the contest.

If posting about a Japanese area:

You can submit more than one entry but it has to be of a different product.
You can submit illustrations of any size, but we recommend that you use our framed template. You can download it here.
The winning entry will need to submit a 2591 pixel × 2591 pixel version.
