I'd like a design for a near-future take on a PBY Catalina-style flying boat, for use as a patrol aircraft and recon in a setting where the seas are not reliably safe for large vessels. I'd like to keep the high wing, but beyond that I'm cool with whatever you come up with. Turboprops probably make the most sense for power plant, for the purposes of very long range. Room for air-dropped munitions is appreciated, but they don't need to be depicted. Limited defensive armament in the tail, but lots of sensors spread out across the fuselage. Ideally big enough for a crew of around six, with the amenities you'd see in an old patrol plane.
